Macromedia Flash Player is the professional standard for producing high-impact, vector-based Web experiences. The Macromedia Flash file format is open. Many software vendors have licensed the file format SDK and created Macromedia Flash (SWF) exporters for their products. Developers can also license the Macromedia Flash Player Source Code to add Macromedia Flash playback to other platforms. This is the version for use with Netscape browser.
